Should I Get a Dog?
Answer a few honest questions and our Decision Guide will tell you if you're ready.

Getting a dog is one of the most rewarding things you can do — but only if your life is set up for it. Dogs need daily walks, consistent attention, and someone home enough to keep them from getting anxious or destructive. The biggest factors are your available time, your living situation, your budget for vet bills and food, and whether everyone in your household is on board. If you work long hours with no flexibility, travel constantly, or are getting a dog mainly to fix loneliness, the timing probably isn't right. If you have the time, space, and genuine desire to build a routine around another living creature, you're ready.
